Day 10: Thank You for the People who Provide Services

Dear Gratitude,

Today's gratitude exercise is about being grateful and thanking people who perform services that I use - thanking them in person or mentally.

In The Magic, this gratitude practice is called "Magic Dust Everyone".  Rhonda Byrne likens gratitude and thanksgiving as sparkling magic dust that you sprinkle on people who perform a service that we benefit from.    Gratitude is a powerful energy.  It goes to whomever we direct the energy to.

When we thank a person for providing a service that improves our lives, think of the benefit we received and feel sincerely grateful for it.  The giving of thank benefits both the service provider and the us.  The service providers are human beings and they do go through situations in life.  But they are there to provide a service and we must be thankful.
10 instances when people in service helped me and to whom I am sending the magic dust of gratitude

1.  From a grateful heart, I am sending the magic dust of gratitude to the security guards at shops and buildings who open the door for me when I am about to leave or enter.  They make me feel special and I don't have to push or pull open the door handle which so many people have touched.

2.  From grateful heart, I am sprinkling the magic dust of gratitude to all the staff in the office - the personal assistants, the drivers, the HR staff, ICT staff, finance & budget staff, operations staff and everyone who perform their share of duties to make things possible for me to work.

3.  Gratefully, I am sending the magic dust of gratitude to all the nurses, doctors, cleaners, cooks and hospitals workers who work day and night treating and caring for the sick patients.  They looked after me in the hospital.  Without them, there would be many deaths daily.

4.  Gratefully, I am sending the magic dust of gratitude to the rubbish collectors who come around to collect rubbish from our residences.  The service they provide makes me live in a clean home.

5.  I am truly grateful when sending this magic dust of gratitude to Philip who does my errands and drops Lydia at the school every morning.

6.  From a grateful heart, I am sending this magic dust of gratitude to settle on all the PMV bus drivers and crew members and taxi drivers who provide transport for me and my siblings to commute to and from work and school.

7.  Gratefully, I am sending magic dust to the people who at Eda Ranu and PNG Power to provide us water and electricity. I use water and electricity everyday.

8.  From a grateful heart, I am sending this magic dust of gratitude to all the cleaners who work tirelessly to keep our city clean.  They work in harsh conditions, cleaning betelnut stains and rubbish.  I am happy because of them I live in a clean environment.

9.  I am deeply grateful for the shop assistants who serve me when I go to the shops.  I am sending the magic dust of gratitude to them.  The make it possible for me to pay for my goods.
