Today's gratitude practice is about using gratitude to have wonderful relationships, even if the relationship is strained. I am using Rhonda Byrne's best-selling book The Magic as a guide for my gratitude practice. The book has daily gratitude practices designed to make gratitude a habit and an essential part of a person's life. Today's practice is titled 'Magical Relationships'.
Today's practice begins, as usual, with Counting My Blessings, which I will at the end of this post.
Today's gratitude practice about using gratitude to make relationships flourish. When we are truly grateful about another person, by law of attraction, we bring more joy, happiness and blessings to our own lives.
When we are truly grateful for another person, we won't criticize, complain about or blame them. There's nothing we will want to do to change them. We will love them just as they are. We will be grateful for them just as they are. We will not find fault with them. We will not judge and be critical in a negative way, about them.
Gratitude makes relationships flourish and it changes us from deep within. In fact, gratitude gives us more patience, understanding, compassion and kindness to the point we won't even recognize ourselves. We will live for the good of others. This will, by the law of attraction, bring more love, joy and happiness into our own lives.
Words are powerful. When we complain about another person, we actually harm our own lives. Scientific research studies shows that grateful people have closer relationships and are more connected to family and friends. Also, for one (1) complaint about a person, there must be 10 blessings for the relationship to flourish. Otherwise, the relationship will wither and die.
Awesome Relationships Gratitude Practice
Today's gratitude practice is therefore about being grateful for people just as they are. I will chose three of my closest relationships to be grateful for. I must have a photograph of the person.
I have chosen 4 people - my daughter, my father, mother and #mylove. I take some time to think about the things I am most grateful for about each of them. Then I put their photograph in front of me, I chose the 5 things I am most grateful for. I look at the photograph as I make my list and begin each sentence by saying 'thank you' and address the person by name, and write what I am grateful for.
I will place the photograph where I will see it often today. On at least 3 occasions, I will look at the photograph and speak to the person in it, saying "thank you" and their name and be grateful for the reasons why I am grateful.
